Morning,((((((((((hugs))))))))))if you need one.
Not a bad day for OH yesterday, doing his usual 'mummies boy ' act, does not work for me, he got a lecture. Not that he takes any notice, but rules have been laid down.
It's a dull, grey day, have towels to wash, but they will have to wait, they will not dry, cannot do with them drying in the house.
Niece coming for lunch, need to do soup and sarnies, so off for now.....0 -
Morning all,
Bit brighter out there today. I've washed the towels and cleaned the house through so far.
Going to make chicken pie for dinner tonight. I was just reading an article about meat consumption and bowel cancer. They are saying that an adult portion should be 70g per day. I don't eat a lot of meat but surely that isn't very much for a man? At least it means I can be more MS and bag up even smaller portions for me and DHEvery cloud etc...
Have a good day all0 -
Afternoon all,
Good for you dumpling. Well done! Such an achievement for you.
Went to see Mom this morning. She was awake and not wailing. She's well but getting breathless a lot when drinking. I noticed it on Sunday too when she was eating. Ive asked the girls to keep an eye on her... Her chest seems clear... We'll see. Went through her wardrobe to measure the jumpers she is wearing. Its easier than measuring her actual chest measurement and went through a pile of stuff chucked in a bin bag on the floor of the wardrobe hoping to find the 2 pairs of slipper socks i bought her last Christmas. 2 pairs of leggings? I havent got a clue where they come from, Mother wouldnt be seen dead in them. No slipper socks though. Ive bought some sewing back....i cant really see well enough to do sewing but i'll have a go.
Nothing planned for the afternoon but the dogs need a good grooming and a haircut.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all
Well done Dumpling
Back from visiting MIL again, we left work early so we'd get back before it got dark.
I visited the PALS department and had words about MIL's ongoing care, things seem to be improving, no hospice bed yet though.
We had a lazy tea, just scrambled egg, we are neither of feeling much like eating much & every time I sit down I fall asleep.
FIL is refusing to speak to us at present, so we send regular texts to try to keep in touch, he causing so many problems as if there weren't enough already.
Have a good evening everyone.

Busy day today; we've ordered the new carpet tiles for the kitchen, and been into town for a few bits, including a battery for my dragon clock, and been to @ldi for a few bits. Mr LW is currently doing some computer maintenance on the pc.
Harriet met little Pepi the Yorkie today; she's supposed not to really get on with other dogs, but she was fine with him. Perhaps because he's so little.:o Today was her scheduled day for ear-cleaning; she was so good, and let me do it without any fuss at all.:A Apparently she's prone to ear infections, so they use a gentle cleaning liquid as a preventative measure.Has anyone seen my wellies? My scruffy old trainers have finally fallen apart and the garden's quite muddy now so I really need them. I've searched and they're nowhere to be seen. Bit annoyed about this, I couldn't get stuck into the gardening properly yesterday without muddying up my nice boots. Gggrrr.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
