Appliances to fit a Howdens kitchen

Hi all

We've recently taken delivery of a Howdens kitchen. It's currently in our garage awaiting fitting because our kitchen is replastered. We opted to not go for Howdens brand appliances after reading bad reviews online. Instead i'll opt for another supplier. Are the fittings of integrated appliances pretty standard? We've noted a Hotpoint oven which is 887 x 597 x 577 mm (HxWxD) and the Howdens brand is 890 x 594 x 567 mm. Given the slight sizes differences do you think this appliance would fit a Howdens unit? Or should we go safe (and expensive) and get a Bosch with the same dimensions as the Howdens brand oven.

Thanks
Joe

All kitchen appliances are a standard size. The Howdens units will accommodate 3rd party suppliers appliances.

Thanks will the fact that the Hotpoint is 3mm shorter, 3mm wider and 10mm deeper not make any difference?

It wont make a blind bit of difference. I do this all the time.

Thanks Phil. Will they still fit snug then or will there be small gaps? Excuse my ignorance

I recently fitted a hotpoint oven in a standard housing. I've also fitted 3 different brands of integrated dishwasher in a standard housing gap. They all fitted fine - they have a flange at each side that will take up any gap.
The only consideration for me was the depth to allow plenty of room for the gas pipe which came up in one corner at the back - funnily enough, the hotpoint oven I fitted was less deep than many of the others I found

The dimensions are for the part of the appliance that fit in the cavity, all appliances have a larger 'face' than the cavity.

If you look at these pics you will see the front is wider/taller than the body of the oven, this will hide any small gaps.
