I did fancy the ribs I have to admit but I won't be rushing to make anything from this week but i'll be tuning in and hoping for next week. I like her gluten/dairy free ideas at the moment so hoping to give something a go. :)

Loved the gluten free cake recipe, going to give that one a whirl.

Since taking cooking "more seriously" and trying to lose weight and eat for health I have built up a good collection of herbs, spices etc.

If you just buy a few items a week you can soon build up a nice little "library" so that way you always have something in. It's the spices, rubs, marinades and sauces that lift ordinary ingredients and make them special.

Pomegranates were dead cheap in aldis last week, not part of the super 6, but I got four for £1. I thought that was pretty good.

Can you freeze the seeds ........I don't see why not, might lose their crunch maybe but would still be ok.

Btw - I though she looked fab with the weight loss.

They're the slightly longer French variety and a bit milder than English. As I like savoury dishes I thought it looked tasty but perhaps better for brunch or lunch.

I enjoyed it but I watch mainly for entertainment. I do get a few ideas along the way though. I fancied the cauliflower and chickpea salad.

Anyone seen lamb ribs for sale in a SM?

I bought some in Waitrose two days ago.

Now I know what I'm going to do with them

Just caught up with this, will definitely give the cauliflower and chickpea dish a go the next time I have someone to cook for.

Nigella looked great and I thought the intro sent a very clear message to her ex and detractors. Good for her.

I expected low cal recipes, with the book name & her weight loss.

Actually, I don't see it too often in the supermarkets.

I used to make a recipe, years ago, with sheets of boned lamb breast. Cut the breasts into about 6 inch squares and create layers of breast, sausage meat stuffing, breast, sausage etc using four layers of breast and finishing with breast. Then tie up securely with string and roast (on a rack). Cheap, filling and very tasty depending on what you put in the stuffing. I think it was called Norfolk Parcel

Thanks, I'll take a look in Waitrose.

Locally to me , breast of lamb seems to come boned and rolled these days.
