Each physical connection to the internet gets a unique IP address.

If your Mifi router also has Wifi built in then each device connected by Wifi will have the same external (internet) IP address. You need physically different connections - e.g. via landline and via mobile - to get different IP addresses.

Thanks but when using mobile sometimes there is a clash and it says 'bill mojo' or whoever has used the ip sddress. I then take out the SIM and swith off the mobile sometimes for more than an hour before the iP is unblocked and I can sign in to my accoynt..

I still don't know why and if there is a way around it.

Every time your phone/MiFi reconnects to the network it gets a new IP address allocated from the pool. However mobile providers are known to have much smaller pools than landline ones, so you are more likely to get the IP address that you have already used before.

I think if you switch it off, taking the SIM out has no effect.
In fact, most likely you can just switch mobile data off instead of switching off the phone.

Thanks So I can use mobile data to log on to sites which are sensitive to iP address? Chances are mobile will pick a different iP for each of the account. Is this feasible?
