I can buy Office 2016 pro plus for £10 on MS HUP - I have Office 2013 at present
Is it worth my upgrading or is there no real difference ?

I'm sure you are equally as capable of using Google as the rest of us.0

At the end of the day you get an extra permanent Office licence for a tenner.
If you have Office 365 as well then that will automatically upgrade from 2013 to 2016 for you. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It isn't permanent.
"The functionality of the products available via the Home Use Program matches those of retail versions, and provide all the benefits you would receive if you bought it at the store. However, your right to use this software is tied to your organisation's continued Software Assurance coverage and your continued employment with that organisation. Your employer will notify you if their Software Assurance coverage expires."

And if you have Office 365 then when the HUP ends Office 365 usage may end automatically?
If you have Office 2013 installed then the HUP ending is unlikely to make any difference to you being able to use it - it certainly didn't with earlier releases like 2007.0 -

Office 365 is a different kettle of fish as that is an online subscription (not available through HUP) I meant that if you have bought your Office 365 then it will automatically upgrade for you.
Some companies using Office 365 do allow their employees to have use of it on their private machines, however the licence is one of the online pool owned and controlled by the company who can withdraw it at any time. This means that as soon as you hand in your notice or are sacked they just disable that licenceThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. You do know that nothing actually happens at the end? I have 2007 from one employer and 2013 from another. Both have dumped

Merely pointing out from a licensing perspective, you are not entitled to use itScience isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0 -
Sounds like most changes have been to do with updating cloud connectivity -

But you could have found that out with a quick google, like i did ;-)0 -
I think Office has reached a maturity where features needed by most people have already been implemented - often many versions ago.
You might as well go for a HUP licence for a tenner though.0 -
They have fixed some infuriating bugs related to the calendar element of Outlook in 2016 - If you use multiple Outlook calendars, its worth it for that alone as it can be like trying to read tartan in 2013!0
