Windows XP Professional - how do I uninstall it?

I think the fact that it has SP2 inbuilt, prevents me from removing it from the Hard Drive.

Does anyone know how it can be uninstalled?

    Why do you want to uninstall it?

    You can just format the drive to get rid of it.

    Calm down.... :)

    Formatting the hard drive will get rid of it. Any everything else on the PC.

    Why do you want to uninstall it and what do you want to replace it with?

    What was wrong with my answer? Ask a simple question get a simple answer.

    If you want to remove Windows from the drive, back up any important data then format the drive. If you're "uninstalling" Windows I'm sure you'll be putting another operating system on. If so, it'll need to be formatted anyway.

    The post title and text are a little misleading. Why exactly do you want to uninstall Windows?
