I just wanted to say thank you to the people who created the *newbie private parking ticket* thread. I got a windscreen parking ticket from Excel, I read the advice, and sent them a template of the statement in the thread and they have cancelled my ticket on the grounds that this is my first parking ticket, and that I was a genuine customer of Iceland. But they did also state that the car park is well sign posted, which is fair enough.
But any way, thank you for the advice, otherwise I would have panicked and paid the fee.

Well done. Excellent example of a poster who read the NEWBIES sticky, worked exclusively from that, with no other forum input, and achieved a successful outcome.
No complaints from this OP that the sticky is too difficult or confusing.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
