Having said that this product is (also) crap from ING, what in you guys' opinion is good alternative?0

Invest directly in funds, look at some managed fund that have a decent track record and go for it. What you invest in depends on your appetite for risk and how much you have to invest. On the low risk side, even cautious managed sector funds like Jupiter Merlin Balanced Income or CF Midas Balanced Income funds would easily outperform the GEB from ING both in terms of risk aversion and year on year performance.0

I think its a good product. Got a mailing today.
They will give me £50 in my ING savings account for taking one out. Min subs is £500, so I chuck £500 in for 6 mths, I then get to the first "Exit window" as they call it.
Take my money back out, free of charge. Thats £50 I have got for £500 investment over just 6 mths = equivalent of getting 20% gross p.a return! Cant say fairer than that.0 -
banks must make a fortune out of these terrible dog performing ftse 100 trackers.

If you want some protection but don't want to buy a structured product have a look at the Gartmore Safeguard fund. If downside protection is your driver then this might appeal.Anything posted is not given as advice but to help with a discussion.0
