ADT Honeywell Le Sucre Alarm Re-use?

Hi,

I have a Honeywell Le Sucre alarm provided by ADT under subscription. I have now stopped the subscription and kept the kit for a year.
I would like to re-use the kit and add another PIR with a camera. I would also like to renew the sim card so the monitoring works again. However I don't want to go through ADT as they are £21 a month. To buy exactly the same kit for myself via Honeywell would be £290. But it seems a shame when the existing kit is exactly the same and could be re-used.

Does anyone know if this is possible, or how it can be re-used?

Thanks,

T23

Piece of junk ADT always used to only rent these? If they are selling it to you then device needs to be reconfigured (software only) There not giving anyone the software to do that? There non contract callout for software issues were around £99 so expect that at least to start and when you have a problem which you will that again
Either bin it, ebay or learn to write software ? Cheaper to buy new system,,,,?honeywell which it is "ish" has slightly different software,,,,,,

    Hi,
You should be able to connect to the box using Honeywell Total Connect 2.0E which you can find online. This very simple to use web server lets you set the system up as you like. You can add and remove sensors, reset the control box, do diagnostic checks etc. You can purchase 2 years SMS activation (item ref: HCS-SMS-2Y) online from SuperLec Direct or from Security Warehouse for approx £25 + postage. It is basically just a card with an alphaneumeric code on it. You need to enter the code in the web server to activate SMS notifications.
  • Honeywell Total Connect 2.0E is what ADT would have used to set the system up in the first place and as it's use is fundamental to the monitoring of the system they should have given you a user name and password.
  • You can use Total Connect 2.0E on your smart phone. It is also possible to connect to the box using Honeywell Total Connect Comfort portal, though you have to log on twice. Once to get into the initial portal for home controls and then again to log into the security section. You can also use the Honeywell Total Connect Comfort portal to set up your system. Total Connect 2.0E gives you more diagnostic capability. Both systems are simple to use and both can let you know on your mobile phone exactly which sensor has been triggered and when.
  • Note:- There are more functions available when you use Total Connect 2.0E on a computer rather than a smart phone.
  • Hi Klaus,

Can you give any more guidance on how to connect the ADT Le Sucre system to Total Connect 2.0 and if I buy HCS-SMS-2Y sim card do I need to swap it with the Sim Card already installed?

    Thanks in advance
