we have an old Aqualisa shower and cannot find the model number. The shower head is integrated into the wall and it requires either relacement or removal to clean and descale. However we cannot find anywhere how to remove the shower head. Can we just remove the head or do we have take down the whole connection from the wall. Can anyone point me in the right direction

I have experienced the same problem with our old Acquilisa shower head. It is plastic and theoretically it should unscrew the rose to enable me to descale it. However it is part of a plastic conection that goes straight into the wall and I cannot see how to get at it to disconnect either to clean or replace. My predicament is the same as the originator of this post. So whilst the shower works I am fearful of breaking it so I am probably living on borrowed time as it will clog up completely as some stage. Again if any suggestion could be forthcoming as howolve my dilema it will be greatly appreciated0

Is it like this? http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Q0jHRO0vL._SX300_.jpg
If so, it looks like it unscrews, maybe with help of a spanner.0 -
We have an older Acquilsa shower. All he answers show chrome connection. Apart from the rose iteself ours is plastic and it is protrudes from the wall by about 7 inches. is that the same of yours. We just squirt descaler on the rose and leave for about an hour but we have no idea how to take the rose or fitting off. Maybe if my description is similar to the one you are talking about then someone reading this post may be able to come up with answer. Good Luck.0

If your shower is very old it is possible that it has been discontinued. If you cannot do so yourself as preciously suggested earlier in this forum, get a friend to take a photograph and submit it on this forum to see if anyone can come up with an idea how to remove the shower head. If that fails send an E mail with the photograph to Acquilsa customer service.I am afraid I don't know how to upload a photograph onto this forum but I am sure some "Techie" reading this post will give you simple instructions . Perphaps some kind person will post the information here.0

that is exactly what I did for a 20 year old aqualisa shower, they are excellent and probably still keep spares or parts even for discounted ranges.
Most of them either have a knurled nut or two flat sides immediately behind the ball fixing which unscrews them from the stem otherwise they can be removed from the wall there, is usually an allen key grub screw either underneath or on top.0 -
