because Halifax also display bos aswell , if I click transfer funds from Halifax to BoS rather than make a payment, does that still class as paying in the 1000 a month?

Assuming you are referring to bank of Scotland vantage terms and conditions, they actually accept other BoS money as new money.

Not sure what you mean but you cannot switch your account from BoS to Halifax for the Halifax switch offer. What's being discussed here is meeting the monthly minimum deposit for BoS accounts.

If an account provider excludes internal transfers they will clearly say so in the T&Cs, as Santander (123), Nationwide (FD), and YB/CB (CAD) do.

Do you see such a condition in the Halifax Reward T&Cs?
