iPad screen replaced. Now can't download ios9

Hi folks my screen broke last week so went to a local shop and got it replaced and thought nothing of it. Now I have found that my touchID no longer works and I've just seen the update for ios9. When I go to install it, it just says it cannot be run at this time. Please try again.

Is this because I got the screen replaced at a non Apple retailer?? I've found out that this is why my touchID doesn't work anymore but I'm going to be really annoyed if I can't update to new software just because I went to a non Apple Store!!??

I can download apps and everything ok though

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

My 6+ screen was replaced with a fake one and my touchID still works fine

I've seen cases of the Touch ID sensor and logic board being paired, so replacement of the Touch ID that isn't paired to the logic board can cause problems, I.e. http://www.cultofmac.com/252406/apple-pairs-every-touch-id-sensor-to-its-a7-chip-to-make-them-super-secure/
