Credit check...!

Hi all,
I had a few questions on this Credit File etc.,
I intend to move my Current account to another provider.
Now, what's the whole story about moving bank accounts could impact your credit file? (I've been with my current bank for 5 years!)
Also, I intend to take a mortgage in the next 3-4 months?
Just need some advice on the whether this account move would impact me or not?
Can you please advice me, thanks a lot.

The old account (assuming you're closing it) will remain on your credit file for the next six years so any impact that losing a "long term" account won't be felt in the next few months.
Being credit checked for a current account shouldn't cause any problems, anyone who checks your file will be able to see what type of product it's for.0 -
Moving your current account will not damage your credit rating and will not have any impact on a mortgage application.
The industry has gone through extensive changes in the last year or so to encourage people not to be afraid of switching bank.
