ebay lockout

They've done it again ! - It asks me to log in and I have saved the info so I press teh Sign in button and it says I've got it wrong - which of course I haven't because the same button worked for teh last 50 times or so !

So I type the info in again, both email and password and it still says I've got it wrong. Which I haven't and so on and soon. Usually I give up and play teh "forgot my password game" and then have to change it and say NO when it says "Give us your mobile number so we can text you"

Does anyone else have this problem or have you all given them your mob numbers ?

  • So I've reset my password twice, remembered it on Firefox and used it to sign in successfully twice - then I try to revise a listing - it comes up the same sign in screen and whatever I do it just comes back to the same old sign in screen - do they do this on purpose ?

Do not know if this is connected but having problems in Chrome where the password it remembers does not get accepted. You have to manually type the password and it asks if want to update it. You do but next time it says the password is wrong again.

Are you typing the letter 'e' and the letter 'h' in the correct order?

lol I do that all teh time - my two finger typing means I'm faster on teh "e" than the "h" - I suppose most of my typing is done wiothemy righet hand and my left is close to the "e" whereas teh right has to go looking for the "h" - but thanks for mentioning it :rotfl:

I've tried that mrcol, Yes Firefox does have some similar issues in that respect and I have tried typing the password and indeed the e-mail in - and I just noticed that it is Not saying "Identity or password wrong" except occasionally when I do type one of tehm wrong - it's just running me back into the same screen again. :(

It ssems to remembere me fine and lets me in with either the login screen or typing and I just accessed my personal details fine - but it won't let me revise or sell anything - just comes up with this carp !
  • It's a thought though mrcol - I'll try coming in on opera

Went straight in after downloading opera ! and successfully revised the item - then came out of Opera and went back in again with Firefox and it was ok again to revise others. - I wonder if it was just overloaded with people selling - especially as teh Saturday night falls on teh last day of teh month ?
  • This happens to me a lot. I usually shut down computer, restart & it works.

Yes, like the person above, I've had this a few times and doing the old "turn it off and turn it on again" usually works.
    Annoying though...
