I,ll have to see if we have a local haggling group

    Ironing for baked good anyone

    Or

Fudge for dusting and a vacuum round :)

Now i'm the other way. I dont bake cakes as such but i'd much rather do housework than cook a meal.
I'm with Judi on this; I'd far sooner give something a good scrub than cook, any day of the week.

Maybe there's something to this haggling group idea, if we can get roughly equal numbers of people who bake as displacement activity and who clean to put off baking. :rotfl:

I've been very good over the weekend; yesterday I prepared a nut loaf up to the point of where it goes in the oven and made two Yule puds; today I made two more Yule puds and a Quorn, cheese, onion and tomato quiche, which I cooked alongside the aforementioned nut loaf (only put the oven on once doing it that way :money: ).

I never understand where people find housework

I've a very big house and tbh I only clean it when the moon is blue or we are having people stay

I'd rather be in the kitchen cooking or baking. It's so calming. I don't have any artistic traits but I can cook. I love to feed people.

And let's face it, how often do you serve people of the kitchen floor?

    That's me :D

My house is clean, not much to get it messy - it's the tedious tasks that I delay getting round too - ironing, doing the VAT etc - they do get done, but I use any baking excuse to delay them :o

I was good today, finished work at 12:30, came home, got changed and steam cleaned both bathrooms and the kitchen, plus all the hard floors - 2 lots of washing done and hung on the maiden, then......

Baked jam sponge and HM custard for the men for pudding, and a load of fudge and some cupcakes for work mates, as well as dinner - so not too bad :T

Indeed - but it was cruel and unusual punishment having to do it!!
I'd have sooner been doing just about anything else, but it was required, so I put my big girl knickers on and just got on with it.:o
