  • Read this thread and you will get good quality information, then come back here and ask questions. A Farho ∓ 1kW heater costs ∓ £400 so this company publishes prices, does not have hidden prices and is considerably cheaper than Fischer. Cheap to run ?, well all electric heating is exactly the same, put 1kW of electricity in get exactly the same out. If you mean are the Farho heaters any cheaper to run than your grannies 1 bar electric fire then the answer is no, the same goes for a LidL 1kW heater costing £25. So heating your living room to 21°C and maintaing that temp an the same tariff will cost the same money whether you use a Farho Fisher or LidL 1kW heater.

As said above 1kw is 1kw whatever heater it comes from.

It matters not if it's filled with clay, bricks, magic dust or even nothing it will still consume 1 kw and output 1kw and that 1kwh will cost the exactly same whatever delivers it - except a proper storage heater on E7. Fischer's are not storage heaters, despite the title of this thread.

You will not save any money getting a posh highly advertised, glossy brochure appliance whether it's built in Germany, S!!!!horpe or even China.

One from Argos, Lidl, Aldi or the Co-op will cost significantly less to buy but will do the same job and cost the same to run.

    The choice is yors
