what is credit if not a loan in various guises from one entity to another

your mortgage, yup that's a loan, that overdraft, a loan, that credit card, a loan, that car finance, yup a loan, that car lease, yup a loan, that overprices tv / xbox / fridge from brighthouse yup all loans
Not really sure what your point is? Nobody is saying it's not all related, but we have different names for a reason so we understand what someone else means and because they're not all just straightforward loans.
The OP stated giving loans and they have now said they don't do loans, meaning a company giving cash and expecting it all back with interest. It's clear when we said loan we were both talking about the same thing.
Brighthouse doesn't call itself a loan company, even if technically it is a form of loan.0 -
yes sorry they dont give loans they just advance credit (very expensive credit , not wonga expensive but very lucrative anyway)
that is clear now.
Yeah, it's clear now.
A £300 PS4, as an example, ends up at £1,495.00. You borrow £300 from Wonga you pay back £372. However, you get 130 weeks for BH and only 30 days for Wonga. If Wonga gave as long it'd work out at hundreds more, but the money would be roughly the value it is when it started and the PS4 would be worth half the amount, if that. So long term they are probably effectively the same.
Basically, the point is save what you can so you don't have to borrow money or do finance and avoid applying for jobs with such companies for the reasons in the OP.0 -
I think because it does the lending through a third party it is tecnically not a loan provider .
Even though the two companies are probably not related it is true that they work as close partners and if one is doing badly obviously it affect the other.
They are tecnically like a married couple I surpose0 -
My main point was that I suspect the company is acting illegally by using my details which are surposed to be kept safe under the data protection act and are in fact being missused somewhere along the line by the said company , even if they don't gain off me there is probably someone, further down the line that will prob buy from them.
It will not be me I am too sensable0
