PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. I will be picking keys up next week.
Is there anything I need to note from the completion date apart from water meter figures since the house will be my liability from now on?

I'm completing on Friday, and have made a massive list of people who need to know!
- Banks & any CC/loan providers
- Insurance companies (car, travel etc. if you don't currently have home insurance)
- DVLA (licence will need address changing)
- Council (both old and new if you're moving to a new area)
- Your employer
- DWP/HMRC for any benefits or tax credits you receive
- TV/Internet/Mobile phone companies
- Electricity/gas/water (meter readings needed for new property and the one you're leaving if you pay the bill there.)
- Anybody who provides you with a service that needs your address, examples are breakdown cover, loyalty cards, catalogue accounts, GP, dentist, vets etc.
Royal Mail need 5 working days to set up a redirect if you're having one so you can do that online as soon as you know moving date.
One good way to start off is to look at the list of direct debits you're paying on your online banking, its not exhaustive but it'll cover a lot of the important ones!0
