Hello,
Just received my home insurance documents today, says I can cancel within 14 days of receiving the documents. However the policy doesn't start until 18th September. Shouldn't the date be 14 days from commence date of the policy?
I'd just like to double check up on this

Hi
The insurance company I work for is 14 days from recieving the documents rather than the start date. Who is the insurance with?0 -
The condition is that you may cancel under 'cooling-off rights' within 14 days after of the commencement of cover or within 14 days after receipt of documents - whichever is later.0

Its with Natwest!
I am hoping to get my £90 back through quidco (which hasn't tracked), but if I don't, I was going to wait until 7 days after the policy started, cancel and start again. Even if I have to pay a month's premium as a penalty, it is still cheaper to cancel, pay that and then get the £90 off.0
