So as the leaves drop and what was a beautiful October draws to a close time to reflect on how it went.
Pretty good on the whole, completed switch of all existing CC debt to new 0% cards which should see me through to the end of paying them off. No major financial traumas. YNAB all reconciled with ease, but i haven't been paying enough attention to keeping grocery bills down. I also had a bit of income from ad hoc work come through which i kinda frittered away. A very bad habit and it should have gone to the debt!! Grrrr!!
Looking forward to christmas, on track to have it all paid for in advance thanks to YNAB. whoop!
So how was it for you?

Having a basic cash card account for day-to-day expenses is really helping my budgeting. I managed to stick to my budget with a bit of help from some cashback and electricity debit balance I got back, so not stuck to my budget as well as I'd like but making progress a tleast. I applied for a 0 % card and got accepted so I have switched some debt from my high APR card to that. Just a case of keep plodding on I guess.... wish I could see an end in sight but at least I am starting to pay down some balances rather than them being ever increasing!Started DMP with stepchange - Feb 2016 Self Managed - October 2016

October was good on the whole. All balances switched to 0% deals and I plan to start snowballing them from January as I am trying to build a small EF for the rainy days for the next couple of months. It won't be much but better than nothing. My biggest problem has been sticking to the grocery budget and I have gone significantly over this month. On the plus said, I have paid the last £41.08 on my Argos card today and it is finally zero!!0

October for me has been good. I finally got my head out of my backside and faced up properly to my debt and have put lots of plans into action to deal with it and become DEBT FREE :j
I have learned how to snowball CC payments and how to budget properly.
Lets hope November, December,January and so on and so forth all are as good as October

October has been a bit of a challenge for me. My DH is off work sick at the moment and bringing home less than a third of what he usually does. All with my stretching to debt clear by Christmas... The good thing is that I didn't use the emergency credit card or overdraft, but I do feel a bit worn pulling everything so tight. Ah well - 31 days until I'm df...
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control
