Statement from ASDA's store website and blog:
Did you fill up at our Small Heath forecourt on 17/18 October?

On Saturday 17 October at 10pm two tanks at our Small Heath petrol station were filled with the incorrect fuel.

Diesel and unleaded fuels were accidentally put into the wrong tanks by our supplier. This was an isolated incident caused by human error.

Four fuel pumps were affected from 10pm on Saturday 17 October to 1pm Sunday 18 October, when the problem was identified and the forecourt closed immediately.

If you think you may have been affected, please contact our customer services line on 0800 952 0101 with either your receipt or registration number and time of transaction to hand.

The petrol station reopened on Tuesday 20 October and is operating as normal.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
