Is Fernox treatment worth it?

Having a few issues with radiators not heating up, low pressure etc in an old house we moved into, is it worth but 2 or 3 Fernox treatments and trying them first? Was thinking of the F3 cleaner and then after a week the F1 protect and F4 leak sealer?

If some of your radiators are not getting hot, the water is not circulating through them. Therefore, the treatments will also not flow through them.

By all means use them after you have sorted out the low pressure and cold radiators... with perhaps the exception of the leak sealer.

Have the whole system checked & serviced, it's likely that they will then use a Fernox treatment in the final fill.

Thanks Richy, i thought about your reply and investigated some more (I have very limited knowledge of heating systems). The central heating pump in the airing cupboard is red hot to touch, like a boiled kettle, as is the pipe into it. But the pipe coming out the bottom of the pump, is stone cold. Im assuming the fault/blockage is with the pump itself?

    Thanks again for your help

No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.
Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only then will you realize that money cannot be eaten.
