Hello, we are going to Rome in December and I need help/guidance in getting from the airport (Fiumicino ) to our hotel which is near the Termini train station.I have looked at private transfers but as the hotel is so near the train station thought this might be a cheaper option ? But need to know how easy it is to buy tickets etc etc.Thanking you in anticipation.

I've been to Rome three times and used the Terravision bus service from the airport to the Termini station each time. It's quick and cheap, 4 euro each way if I remember rightly. Check the Terravision website for info and to pre-book tickets.0

Have a look at the Rome Guide on TripAdvisor. It answers this question in full, and just about any other question you might have about Rome.0

The Leonardo Express is the direct train that serves the route between the airport and the centre of the city of Rome every 30 minutes.
- Trains from Termini depart from the track 24 on the right. Ticket costs euro 11, available at the counter as well as the Termini news stand. Tickets sold at the departure platform are more expensive. Get your ticket stamped in a yellow validation machine just before using it. Ticket expires 90 minutes after validation.
The ultramodern train Leonardo Express, covers the distance in 30 minutes.

You will see small machines on the station, you have to validate your tickets on them before boarding on trains. This is the case for all trains in Italy.ally.0 -

I did the same trip in March and pre-booked a bus ticket with Tam for €5. We got through the airport sooner than expected and were allowed to catch the earlier bus. I'd definitely use Tam again, and they drop you at the side of Termini, just a few steps from the main platform.

There are a number of options including taxi.
The metro station isnt close to the airport but there is a regular shuttle between the airport and metro.
The other alternative is the selection of shuttle coaches outside the airport.
As you exit baggage reclaim you will see a number of cabins selling transfer tickets or buses terravision being one of them.
Most people go for terravision. I went for one of the other operators last time i was there, walked outside and got straight on their coach whilst the terravision was long, in a state of confusion and with staff not really organising it.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
