'All-in' package holidays (flight,accom,tour) to Vietnam/Cambodia/Thailand?

Hi guys
Does anyone know of any decent websites that offer 'All-in' package holidays (flight, accom, tour) to Vietnam/Cambodia/Thailand, travelling from London?
So far I've come across https://www.explore.co.uk but it seems to be, at first glance, tours and flights and accomm once you're already in that country...
So ideally there'd be somewhere online that offers: return flights from London to country X (say, Thailand), tours, flights and accom then within that country.
Any suggestions would be really welcome!

Try trail finders or if under 35 the contiki trips or the like, but you would get it cheaper booking it yourself in all honesty:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

We've been on holiday many times to many countries in Europe and SE Asia.
In fact I've worked in most of them.
But Vietnam and/or Cambodia always looks a step too far for us to do on our own, not too sure why.
I'd like to visit both but first time will probably be on a package and I haven't been on a package, ever. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -
Ive always been impressed by intrepid for a cheap but good rough and ready way to travel through the countries. They do a comfort level as well which is very good. Or look at other toyr companies similar to them, tucan etc. You book flights seperatly to the start and from the end point but after that its all up to someone else to organise the fun.0

I analysed a package tour to Vietnam for a colleague at work recently, we looked at the flights, bad times and wrong aircraft, hotels, very average, paying a little more would get much better, itinerary was too tight with not enough time in places.
Sometimes you can't beat switching the TV off and doing it yourself.
Have been to Cambodia and December's trip to Vietnam is already planned, so ask away.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
I wouldn't do a package tour either.
This was our recent 4 week d-i-y itinerary for Vietnam, commencing at LHR on 1 September...
Day 1: Arrive at 1250 HCMC with Qatar Airways
Day 2: HCMC
Day 3: Fly Vietjet to Dalat (50 minute flight)
Day 4-7: Dalat
Day 8: Fly Vietnam Airways to Da Nang (80 minute flight). Danang
Day 9-11: Danang
Day 12: Train to Hue. Hue
Day 13-16: Hue
Day 17: Bus to Hoi An
Day 18-23: Hoi An
Day 24: Taxi to Danang Airport. Fly Danang to HCMC.
Day 25-27: HCMC
Day 28: HCMC. Evening flight to London via Doha
We kept to the itinerary.
Costings for the two of us were...
- Return international flights - £864
- Internal Flights x 3 - £189
- Good standard B&B accommodation x 27 nights - £547
Total: £1,600
On top of that, we had to pay for all meals, drinks, internal taxi/bus/train, souvenirs, admission charges. We only needed one main meal a day, and it was incredibly cheap. So, believe it or not, our spending money for 4 weeks came to a total £325!
We had a fascinating 4 week d-i-y holiday in South and Central Vietnam for less than £2,000 for the pair of us. All very easy to organise without the need for any tour companies.0 -
I was quite interested in this whilst it was £1099, but it's gone up now as you can see. http://travelbird.co.uk/57874/roundtrip-thailand-vietnam-cambodia/ No ATOL, but I'm covered for this on my travel insurance.
That's brill Pete! Can you knock me one up for NZ & Malaysia now please0 -

I could knock one together for 4 weeks mobilehome in NZ, starting on the North Island at Auckland, down the Coromondel, Taranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Napier, and Wellington.
Cross the Cook Straits to Picton. Then down the west coast all the way to Queenstown via Franz Josef. Weave back up the centre and across to Christchurch, and back to Picton.
Across the Cook Straits, and north to to Auckland, via Wanganui and Hamilton.
Flying into Auckland from Sydney, and out to Melbourne.

I've done a fair amount of travelling in SEA. I'd never book a package, it really is so easy to travel independently. Have a look at tours online and take guidance from them if you want but I'd urge you to book everything yourself. Planes/trains & buses are all easy to book to travel & very reasonable if you book flights in advance.
Use tripadvisor for accommodation, it's easy to narrow down your budget and requirements. Their forums are invaluable too, any queries I'm pretty sure someone will help out. Let's face it you'll never beat the price of putting in a few hours research and doing it yourself as opposed to someone organising for you.
Have you a rough idea what/where you'd like to explore? I'm sure on here people can help too.0 -
I agree with the other posters. There really is no need to package in SEA. All those countries are easy to navigate and to plan your trip.
My only word of warning is to look at how long you are going for. You could easily spend three/four weeks in Vietnam alone. Beware of trying to fit three countries into a two/three week break, as you'll spend much of that time in planes and trains. If time is limited to a couple of weeks rather than a couple of months I'd pick one country and explore that.0 -
For convenience and price we booked a two week package holiday in Thailand and then booked some trips from their. So we flew from Gatwick to Phuket, had 3 nights in Phuket, flew Phuket to Chaing Mai and had 3 nights there, then flew back to Phuket, had 2 nights there, then flew to Bangkok for 3 nights and back to Phuket. Meant we didn't have to lug our stuff around with us constantly and we always had a 'base'. The hotel spoke excellent English so we explained we were going away for a few nights and they were fine with it, it's quite common apparently.0
