Android app transfer

I have a new Android tab that I want to transfer some apps to. They are no longer available online. Is there a way I can perhaps email them between devices? I have tried Bluetooth and wireless transfer through the app but it does not see the new tab even though they are paired and/or on the same network, suspect it is a problem in the app. Would also like to transfer the date if I could, not sure how that works though, I do have an SD card but not sure how funny coronal it is in the old tab as it is an early android 4, new is 5.
Thank you.,
Thank you.,

ES file Explorer can back up the apk file of any app you have got on your old device. Google instructions. Gmail file as an attachment to yourself. Open and install on new device. I've done this a number of times.0
