Hi
My wife has a new laptop and keeps getting a warning about the battery being over 70% charged all the time.
She has the laptop plugged in to the mains all the time, should I remove the battery?

Is it a Lenovo laptop by any chance?
If so there should be a Lenovo Energy Management Utility on there. Either search for it, or check the icons on the taskbar near the clock to find it. Using that utility you can set it so the battery holds charge around 60% thus improving its lifetime. On some versions of this utility though it doesn't remember what you've set it to on each reboot.
If it's not a Lenovo laptop then you may find a similar utility on the system for doing this.0 -
Thanks Tropez,
It is a Lenovo laptop and I have set the battery to conservation mode.
