Scottish Power November 2016 is out

The electricity is UP again! But then the gas is down again.

For my postcode:

November 2016 Fix Gas 2.674p/ Electricity 11.022p

Previously:

October 2016 Fix 2.802p/10.860p

March 2016 Fix 3.000p/10.476p

What the hell, I have switched. Hopefully, they will bring out a tariff with expensive gas, but cheap electricity in April 2016.
Looking forward to a hard winter.

You should show the standing charges too as this has a big impact on my bills.

This gas offer is still £20 more expensive for me as the diffence in standing charge is not made up for by the lower gas price.

I don't think the standing charge has changed for about a year.
It's about 20p a day.

Exactly the same for my area(Midlands)


I am on Online fixed price energy 31 March 2016 on Economy 7.


The daily charge for gas and electricity remains at 20.55p, and the annual dual fuel and on-line discount also remains the same at £5.25/£5.25.


March 2016 rates 12.162p/5.109p and gas 3.102p


Nov 2016 rates 12.822p/5.769p and gas 2.723p


All above include VAT


As I use a lot of gas the lower price more than compensates for the increase in electricity prices.


I would switch but have zero confidence that Scottish Power will get it correct.


I wonder if it is possible to be on Nov 2016 for gas and remain on Mar 2016 for electricity.

If Scottish Power were giving away free energy, I would still not switch to them. they are completely incompetent.

You'd lose the dual fuel discount. I asked this a month ago.

Be more confident. I've switched internally with them several times, including 5 times last winter and again a month ago, without any problem.

Just switched to this November 2016 deal. Excellent. I've looked on uSwitch and there's only one cheaper deal - £10 a year less with a company I've never heard of.

Scottish Power seem to have had the best deals for quite a while now. But you have to know your annual usage - their electricity has gone up and gas down - only if you know you use ~8 times more gas than electricity do you realise what a great deal it is.

I save 43p on Oct 2016 tariff

The only issue I've had with switching tariffs is that they don't take my monthly dd if I switch just before it's due to be taken, which happened a few times earlier this year. Switching after dd has been taken works for me

2.4p per kWh next, if this trend keeps going, with 11.6p for electricity.

The bathroom fan has a humidity sensor, so might try drying clothes by turning the radiator up. Just an act of protest. Not using an expensive Miele tumble dryer is even sillier.

2.4p for gas, and 9p electricity, now that's the dream to have.
