    Very annoying when you post on a forum and someone replies adding nothing of value, just to have a pop / criticise.

    If you had taken the time to read what I said before replying, you'd be aware I did not use this account to avoid charges. I would have much preferred to have a business account, unfortunately you're stuck with these type of accounts with a prepaid MasterCard when you have a poor credit history.

    I had a poor credit history at the time of opening, do you understand that?

    So I have used this account to better my credit history as that what it is designed for, so I can get a business account.

    Strange when the very same company you've opened a personal account offer business accounts and without credit checks?

    You have used a personal account as a business account and this has been noticed, hence the investigation as per their T&Cs. Cash Plus will probably close the account down at the conclusion of the investigation for breaching the T&Cs of the personal account. Whether you'll be allowed to open a business account with them is at their discretion: from experience of working in banking I'd be surprised if they allowed this to happen.

    I really don't understand why you used a prepaid card as a business account?. Drip feeding payments into it and keeping a relatively large balance for a prepaid card is bound to draw attention to yourself.
    There are plenty of suitable accounts you could have got with a bad credit rating and the poster above has put a link to one of them!

    I'm not even sure how that layering even works or what it means.
    It is part of the process.
    I've explained to them I'm going public and contacting journalists so believe me if I had anything to hide I would be quiet as a mouse - I have told them this also.
    That will make no difference to due process.
    They haven't even told me they froze the account
    As has been said, they cannot lawfully do so

    Unless you are the mum in question, that does not apply to your specific case.
    On Twitter I can see they also withheld 35,000 from someone.

    Surely they can't completely refuse to speak to me for 8 weeks in possession of £1500 of my money, and earn interest off this.
    If your complaint is upheld, you will be entitled to interest and any costs incurred.
    Emailing complaints won't help, not even emailing the ceo is working.
    Unless the e-mail "bounces", it is sufficient.
    It literally is going to take public attention to shame them into speaking to me.
    You already know that will not work, so you must allow due process.

    However, as has been noted you are holding a personal account for business purposes. This puts you at something of a disadvantage when it comes to claiming the moral high ground.
