advice needed with mums house sale please

Mum has a 6 bedroom house of which she lives in half and for a number of years she has rented out half as holiday lets and rental etc.
The house is split into 2 three bed houses and has 2 addresses although easily converts back to one big house as all the adjoining doors and electrics/plumbing etc are still intact from when it was 1 house.
My mum wishes to sell the house as 1 in the new year so the tenants have gone.
Who does my mum contact to officially get rid of the second address?

    She will need to contact the local council, (not only CT, there may be building regulations to consider) the land registry, the post office etc and there may well be CGT implications?

    Your mother will presumably be contacting a conveyancing solicitor and may well already have an accountant- she should take professional advice.
