Twitter follow limit increased to 5k

Just had a look I have 1,000+ friends but am only following 1 account (our Martin) and 9 are following me, how did you end up following so many?
Sorry, i meant page likes rather than following. Apparently the official limit on FB is 5000. For calculating, FB add up page likes, following and friends and use that total.
When i was trying to like more pages when i hit the limit, the error message on screen read 'a personal account can only like up to 5000 pages'.
Strangely, when i look at my total likes it seems to suggest i've actually hit 11000... so not sure why FB wasn't throwing me the error before.0 -

I may consider a full comping reset - new accounts on everything...
I find the easiest way to clean facebook is to set the likes list scrolling to the bottom and go and do something while it gets there then just unlike from the bottom up excluding any you know you want to keep.2018 - £562 2019 - £130 2020 - £276 2021 - £106 2022 - £1400 -
Yeah reached my 5k limit so started re-using an old twitter account which had reached the previous max of 2k - obv I can add 3k to it now. I have another somewhere too which I'll dig out once this current one reaches 5k. After that, I suppose I'll blitz all three and choose one to start using again.

Wondering if I should open another Twitter account that's a little more comp-focused? At the moment I only have my main account and I'm very selective about what comps I RT there (not that many) because most of my followers there aren't compers and I'm worried about spamming them :-/ Thing is I know that a lot of companies don't like accounts with a lot of RTs (and nothing else (may be more likely to disqualify me) so I'm not sure what I should do with it or whether I should bother at all!0
