Twitter follow limit increased to 5k

I don't do that many Twitter comps but it's amazing how often I was hitting my limit and having to unfollow people - this is good news for me

Just bumping an old thread to see if anyone else is now nearing the new 5k limit. When it was increased it seemed so many, but now I shall start unfollowing again.

Now just under 2050 so added about 150 in just over 18 months, at that rate it would take nearly 20 years to hit the 5,000 limit (not going to be a problem for me)

I'm up to about 3,500 - but I mass delete anyone that hasn't posted in the last 3 months, to get rid of the old unused accounts

And all I do is comp on Twitter, so just deleted those who hadn't posted in a while

I blame those rafflecopters / Gleam!

Mine is only for comping as well but almost totally retweets not RC/Gleam so they are the culprits.

I'm on just over 4.2k but have been adding mine to lists since May 16. When a company that hasn't done a comp for a while does a new once it gets moved to the most recent list. When I hit 5k I will simply go back to the oldest list and delete the lot. Does slow comping down a bit but is so easy to keep updated and it takes 5 minutes to unfollow and delete a single list at most.

Gutted, i've just hit the Facebook follow limit (5000 too). Didn't even know they had one. Been on the ManageFlitter rotation every week to delete some Twitters, not sure i can stomach doing Facebook unlikes too.

I may consider a full comping reset - new accounts on everything...

FB has a limit too :O ? EEK!
I only have one FB account *Smug smirk* that is personal and comping, so would be gutted!
There used to be a quick unlike tool for Facebook, but it shut some time ago. Does anyone have any tips / a link, please?

Just had a look I have 1,000+ friends but am only following 1 account (our Martin) and 9 are following me, how did you end up following so many?
