House Buying- Why so slow

Hi,
I am in the process of buying, there is no chain, so all should be straightforward.
However 8 weeks on and the seller has still not completed the fixtures and fittings and property information forms for their solicitor. Is it just me or is this ridiculous?
I have 8 weeks until my mortgage offer runs out!
Annoyed is an understatement, I feel like walking from the deal though would be cutting my nose off despite my face.

Rather than cutting off your nose to spite your face, you could consider petitioning the Govt or Law Society for change to the buying and selling system.
In Scotland, the inclusions and exclusions (F&F in your terms) are decided at offer stage .....0 -
You have a less than 16 week long mortgage offer? Weird... Are you sure that's not just the AIP? In which case, doesn't really matter if it runs out...0
