  • Another 35p to add for me from wobbled change i found.

    Everyone is doing brilliantly!

Unfortunately for me we have 'storm abigail' heading towards us this weekend, or so the weatherman has said. So no carboot this weekend to get rid of the rest of the stuff I've acquired. Hopefully later on in the month!

In the meantime I'm trying to pile things on eBay, I've got monday off of work too so i have an extra day to do that!:j

    Total £138.16
    Mortgage Feb 2023- £249,210 MFW 2023 #20: £524.05/£500 (104.81%)
  • Thanks for the get well wishes. Haven't been online for a couple of days but finally starting to feel a bit better.

Procrastinater hope your recovering well. (((hugs)))

Couple of ebay items have bids on. But haven't managed to list anymore. Spent most of yesterday sleeping.

Going to the shops and will finally cash in my old scratchcards and add to my total. Hope my Tesco vouchers come soon!

Procrastinater - hope you are not in too much pain. here's to a quick recovery

a friend said to me they let things sit on ebay until they sold, they just kept relisting until they eventually sold. i took their advice and found something I have been relisting finally has a bid on it.

    £10.40 from quidco

    £5.63 from tcb

    37p from qmee

    £15 from swagbucks

I think that's a very important principle Aesop  I'm tending that way myself I have bids on two items I have relisted a number of times now. The temptation is to think that your prices are too high and reduce. Something which ebay actively encourage with their comments after your item expires.

My belief is that a lot of the time, it's just that the person who "wants" your item simply has not come along looking for it yet !

You're really hitting the little ones Aesop ! :T however much time do you spend on it ?

    I like your saying :)

with everything I do, it is a case of what I am doing, and fit it around it. So at the moment I don't have much work booked. So while at home job searching, filling in applications, etc. I have swagbucks apps running. When I need to search for things I use the search engines on various sites that make me money, including my phone when out and about. So they earn me extra.

I try to get people to sign up using my referral as that all helps , might be one off payments, might be ongoing.

with things like qmee, I have to occasionally go on google and do my normal searches and if i get lucky qmee pops up with it's little boxes.

at the moment, I don't have much of an income so doing everything I can to make money.

talking about making money I must include £1.02 from a lost account.

Some of you may remember I wrote to nsi searching for lost accounts, premium bonds etc, (I can hope! :p ) and they said nothing for me.

Well, funnily enough my sister got a letter with 2 old savings accounts she had forgotten about with nationwide, only pennies. And then I got a letter from santander, an old savings account I had forgotten about! the last of the big spenders I had £1.02 in it! :rotfl:

so I think I need to do the lost bank account search this time!

Managed to save some money on the kids swimming lessons as they have a sibling discount so £12.75 to be added. :)

I've also just had a quick check of the bank account and the Simply Health refund has gone in so that's £56.00 for the pot :T

While checking I noticed that we've also had a refund from the storage company after we had given notice so that's another £7.14 which brings my total to £98.68 :j

Just need to get my listings on track as I've got loads to go on I just can't motivate myself to take photos as my phone is playing up (another expense I don't need )

75p this morning on Valued Opinions bringing my total there to £2.

£13.50 more to go! I think I can make it by the end of the month if I get a 75p survey a day and a couple of £1 ones. Only need 3 days of £1 surveys to make it. _party_

    Edit:
15 points on Opinion Outpost so now only another 15 away from making a £2.50 withdrawal

    Edit the second:
Wow, productive "morning"! Another 25 OO points banked and £3 withdrawn!

  • Don't know if this counts or not, but I'll throw it in anyways.

Done the majority of the christmas shopping today, at Argos using their reserve service.

Made sure every one was just over £100, paid for 5 and got £50 in vouchers. Used that to buy the last item, so technically got £50 off it, and another £5 voucher.

    So thats me at £146.

  • £10.00 Argos Voucher received. 40p Roadkill.

Also completely delighted to have received a scholarship to a 2 day Leadership event in the New Year. It would have cost nearly £600 !! Won't count it in my total as to be honest I wouldn't have attended if I hadn't got the scholarship but I'm feeling very, very happy indeed :j:j:j Fantastic networking opportunity for my business :)
