That depends on your disability and how it affects you.

Probably a tall tale but I worked briefly with a guy told me he went for a medical in the 90’s to go on the sick with a bad wrist. In the waiting area the receptionist asked him if he’d help her shift a table; being the gent he helped move the table and was told if he could do that he didn't need a sick note.

So dont shift the table if they ask you.

You will be being observed from the moment you arrive to the moment to leave. These people watch how you get up from the chair in the waiting room, walk to the room etc etc. They've even been known to look through the windows to see if they can see you walking or whatever back to your car after the assessment.

I agree totally with this ! Never ever go alone either. Of all the med assessments Ive had - IIDB, ESA and PIP .... This is the one I felt I was trying to be caught out.

If you have genuine issues doing these things then there is no problem is there?

If you are going to say you have problems when you don't then schrodie's advice will be useful. Although pretending or exaggerating is surely attempted fraud.

I forgot to add but it's probably too late now in your case but always get your assessment audio recorded as it has been known that what you tell an assessor regarding your problems/issues/limitations to be totally misrepresented or even changed when they submit their final report to the DWP.

Its not as simplistic as that! My friend drove me all the way ( 26 miles ) to my assessment and dropped me off in a side road 10 feet from the door. Apparently I was observed arriving alone and never asked ! I saw the comment on the report.
