What (if anything) is solicitor meant to send us after buying property?

Sorry, odd title, not sure how to phrase it!
We moved into our new house on 9 October and, apart from receiving their final bill and completion statement, we've had no other paperwork from the solicitor.
The builder's solicitor has sent us a copy of the covenants and I do have the draft contract and title deeds but not final copies.
May be a stupid question, but are the solicitors supposed to send us these or do they hold them?

They should send you the title from the Land Registry once registration is completed, mine took about a month but I believe in some areas it can take quite a while - I don't know whether the timescale for a new build is different.0

Land registration for sure. We have just received all the previous conveyancing documents for the property (original 1950s, beautiful documents and language!) as well as all original floor plans, modifications, searches (in addition to the electronic copies we received), servicing records etc. I guess it depends what has been handed to the solicitor by the vendor.0

Thanks both. Maybe I will leave it a bit longer then before getting in touch - I know these things can take time.0

As agrinnall and charliewocka have rightly said, normally your solicitor should send you copies of the register that we prepare, showing you as the new owner. But there is always a gap between completion of the transaction and completion of the registration of that transaction. How long that will be varies on circumstances, but if you become worried that you haven't heard anything I'm sure the solicitors will advise you where things have got to.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Land Registry. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
Just to clarify, we completed on 7th September and got the land registry of our BTL sent through to us on 1st October. Our residential was ready a week or so later and we went to our solictors office in person to collect.0

It took months to get ours (almost a year IIRC), but then it was a flat and the freeholder took ages to acknowledge the change.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0
