I had a small bump last week, 3rd party pulled out on rbout without looking and admitted full liability. I have said to insurance company, still to arrange getting car fixed. The 3rd party have contacted me stating they think it is best to pay for my repairs themselves to save on loosing no claims.

I am going to get a quite from local sprayer to fix and pass to 3rd party.
Can I then just state to insurance co that the 3rd party have resolved situation and to remove/close claim? (once I have the money

Yes, you still need to declare the incident though for upto 5 years.

As you have informed yours make sure they have informed theirs also.
Not your problem if they dont, but mention it to them anyway.
