Problem with Marks & Spencer website?

Hello, I'm not sure of the best forum to post this on, but there seems to be a problem with the Marks & Spencer website and I'm not sure what to do about it! I've just logged into my account so that I can activate my new Sparks card. I noticed there were some items in my basket - when I clicked on them I didn't recognise them, so I checked my order history and it's showing someone else's order history, with their name, address and phone number!
In the address book it's showing yet another person's name, address and phone number! What's going on, is this a strange glitch with my account or is there something wrong with their website? I hope these details don't get into the wrong hands. Has this been reported anywhere?

Marks & Spencer should be the first people you inform.0 -
I've just spent 20 minutes on hold to learn that they are aware of the "issue", though I was told that card details aren't compromised and it doesn't affect M&S bank.
My basket contains items I didn't put in it.
My order history shows me having purchased a pair of ugly pyjamas several sizes too big, that my name is Joyce and that I live in Bromley.
In My Account I can see full details for another woman - everything bar her credit card number:
Name
DOB
Address
Phone number
E-mail address
Whilst I've been typing they've taken the site down, or at least the account section.0 -
LilElvis - I could see the same pyjamas and customer details. If I was Joyce in Bromley I'd be livid as anyone could see her name, address & phone number! Also the other lady in Evesham shown under 'my addresses'. I didn't fancy making a long phone call to report this but as I tried to find a contact e-mail address their website went out of action (it still is). Glad they were already aware of the issue and it wasn't just a glitch with my account.0

It's obviously just a glitch which unfortunately technology sometimes falls victim too. As no credit card details etc are disclosed I wouldn't think it will cause problems for customers as the details showing could be found on other sources anyway?.
I hope Joyce in Bromley is happy with her 'ugly pyjamas', that's if she ever manages to get them.0 -

I'm a little more concerned about the security of my M&S credit card as the online account for that is linked to the retail site.
Perhaps you would also be a little annoyed and concerned if your personal data was made available to all and sundry.
And Joyce is due to receive her ugly pyjamas on Saturday.0 -
The whole site is down now.
Edit, already noted it's down.0 -
LBC radio just reported M & S are aware of problem, they say no confidential details have been disclosed and their web site has not been hacked.0
-
Website now back up again and account details are back to being mine.
The really good news is that Joyce's ugly pyjamas have disappeared from my order history.0 -
Did everyone see Joyce's details? Is it possible that Joyce is a test account and a config error made everyone see that same test account?0
