iPad help needed

Hi -I have recently been given an iPad mini. I have transferred all the content of my earlier IPad 2 on to the mini via iCloud. What I would like to know is if I delete all the photos on the mini (to free up space) would they still be 'in the cloud' and on the other iPad? I'm a bit of a novice and frightened of losing the lot!!

    Simple solution. Try deleting just one not very important photo and you'll see what will happen :-), if it stays on iPad 2 delete all.
