So ...Interested in a house being sold by a local company Knight and Bain., The estate agent showed us round...with such lack of interest or vimpto
We asked a q's about parking, estate agent said she would get back to us...1 week went by and nothing so i called her agency...She will get back to you was the answer...again left it 1 week Nothing. I eventually get to speak to her and without a hint of anything told me that the owners of the house accepted an offer 2 DAYS ago.....
How do i stop estate agents , just not bothering to either get info or put offer forward...never bought and sold so a bit new to me.

sadly this behaviour is not unusual, when buying a house years ago I got to the stage when I literally told them I would stay on that line whilst they used another to make any calls need to answer my question. Given they had failed to deal with said question at least 10 times prevouslyI am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wants to rant about estate agents today...they really are a different breed! Ours didn't bother to put our offer forward either, not that he had the decency to tell us that - a quick phone call from an interested party to the agent confirmed our suspicion when he said that an offer had been made on the property but he hadn't bothered to put it forward as he didn't think the vendor would accept. Why couldn't he just have told us that it was too low and to up it if we wanted to be in with a chance!0

As soon as an offer was accepted on the property the EA lost all motivation to sweet-talk other potential buyers like you. His sole focus now is on keeping the sale on track, and Exchanging asap, to secure his commission.0
