Good experience with Liverpool Victoria - travel insurance

I just want to share my positive experience with Liverpool Victoria travel insurance. I must say that I contracted the insurance with them almost randomly as it is possible to find both positive and negative feedback in the internet.
Just three days before departure my son broke his leg and we should cancel the trip. The good thing is that everything but the airplane tickets could be cancelled (more than one grand). I started the claim as soon as I could and LV sent me quite accurate instructions for the claim. I wish they'd have given a bit more of background on why we should produce all these documents as it was my first claim. Anyway I gathered all documentation and sent to these guys, and the whole process has been quite fast.
I think that the 50£ per person per claim is a bit expensive, but it is true that I've had no problems at all with them. I'll contract with the my next travel insurance for sure.

Good to hear someone go to the trouble to post a good experience.
The £50 excess you paid per person is actually fairly low, many companies charge considerably more especially the cheaper policies as it's a way they can reduce the premium by reducing the cover0
