How do you remove a floating frame from an Open Office spreadsheet?

I inserted a floating link to 'my pictures' accidentally, but 'Help' doesn't appear to state how to remove it. I expect it's in the edit option but I can't work out how to select the frame to do this (right-clicking does nothing).

I don't know about OO and what a 'frame' is.
In Excel I use small pictures with links. To delete one I use right-click that selects the object and opens a short drop-down menu. Then I use Esc to close the menu while leaving the object selected. Then I use Delete.0 -
I might start a new thread entitled :
"Why do people post questions on here and have people do their googling for them"
The first result if you google your question, contains the paragraph :-
Delete A Frame- Click on the border of the frame to select it. (The green handles will appear.)
- Press the delete (Del) key on the keyboard to remove the frame and its contents.
Delete A Frame Without Deleting Text- Click inside Frame, select/highlight all text.
- Click the Cut
icon (text is copied to clipboard)
- Delete the frame by pressing the Delete key.
- Click the Paste
icon to paste the text onto document. (Text appears on document.)
You're welcome0 -

Secondly, I did look at that exact page, and found that clicking the border also just brought up 'my pictures'. Hence the request for ways to select.0 -
My question would be why Openoffice ?
Libreoffice is far better and much more actively worked on, it's now being recommended by the UK Government in collaboration with Collabra:

I'm not sure if this is the 'correct' answer, but I was having a similar problem. It might sound silly. but I don't know if I was having trouble with floating frames, or with text boxes, as I had been trying both.
No amount of clicking would 'select' the offending items, but when I eventually selected enough cells to completely 'surround' the stuff I wanted to get rid of, then I was able to use the delete key to remove the stuff.
Hope this helps.0
