Looking for a laptop for 16 year old Ds
Needs it for school and some gaming - bit dazzled by all the recommendations on thevarious review sites, so grateful for any advice

His friend just got for his birthday a HP Pavilion 15.6" screen, 8mb(?)ram, integrated graphics with AMDA8 (apparently) - whatever it all means, though from what I read integrated graphics aren't too good?

Looking to spend £500ish tops

  • You want a laptop for a 1 year old? Perhaps just get a toy one rather than a real one!

the driving factor will be:- what sort of "gaming"? laptops with dedicated gfx cards are rather more expensive, so you really need to know which games he's thinking of as a starting point...

Why don't you build yourself a PC rather than a laptop. It will be alot cheaper.
