Shifting platform and dividend payments

Can someone explain how and where dividend payments are made. What happens if an investor has switched to a different platform for their S&S ISA. Would dividends payable after the move be 'forwarded' to the new ISA account? Thanks, and sorry if it's a dumb question!

The dividends will follow you.
If you move to a different platform, your investments will be re-registered to a new provider. So the funds/stocks paying the dividends will pay the dividends to whoever the investments are registered to, which will be your new provider."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

As george4064 says, the dividends will follow you. One little detail to remember though, is that if you have a share like M&S or Whitbread that has some shareholder benefits such as discount vouchers then you will need to ask your new platform to register you to receive these.0
