Claiming ppi from Midland Bank

Around 1987 I had a loan with Midland Bank to buy a car. I think they probably added ppi without asking me. Is it too long ago to claim, and also would I apply to HSBC?

A long shot, I know but thought it's worth asking.
Thanks.

Yes, Midland Bank would now be HSBC.

It would however be a long shot. There is a good chance that HSBC no longer has any record of the loan.
  • Thanks for your reply antrobus, I will let you know how I get on :-)

    Why do you think that?
