Hi there, I have a TNT sat box (French TV) with only Scart output.. I only use it few times a year - basically when my non English speaking mum comes to visit :-) .. We now have bought a new tv but it doesn't have any scart sockets only HDMi... is there a cheap adapter/converter I can buy? or what is the best way to sort this out?.. I know I could buy a new TNT box but they are quite expensive so trying to go the cheaper option first. Many thanks

Which TV model do you have?
Many newer tellies have a socket that a scart adaptor will fit into, for example Panasonic use one like http://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Panasonic-K1HY20YY0011-Socket-Adapter/dp/B00B5UIU380 -

sorry I hadn't seen your response. I have a Samsung UE55JU6800K and not sure if there is a specific adaptor for it.A friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)

Hi
I would not bother using a scart to HDMI (can be expensive and also uses on the the HDMI ports).
Take a look at the below manual
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/UE55JU6800KXXU
Go to the section Connecting with a composite and take a look.
It shows you two different options but the 6 series should just have the standard connector
(5 circles 2 x red,white,yellow/green and blue)
If so, all you need is something like this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/LogiLink-CA1029-2-0m-Scart-Cable/dp/B00B1S8R3C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446751804&sr=8-1&keywords=scart+to+composite+cable
Hope this helps
