Voluntary redundancy

Does anyone know where I stand re accepting voluntary redundancy and working tax credits? I have accepted vol redundancy as I can no longer stand the wait (a year so far) to hear if I have a job. Whilst it is not a lot of money, do I need to let the tax credits people know? I know this might be a silly question but things have gotten on top of me lately and I find it difficult to do normal every day things - sorry.

If you're not working then you can't have the working tax credits, so you will need to let HMRC know. If you don't let them know you could end up with an overpayment.Build a man a fire and he will be warm for a day.
