Product Upgrade/Transfer from BC Freedom - what happens to my points?

Hi all,
Title says all really - I've just initiated the transfer (on Friday) to the Cashback combo but forgot to ask what happens to the ~6000 points I have on the Freedom card at the moment. I presume I need to redeem these before the switch else they get scrapped?

Your points will get scrapped if they are not used before the product transfer to the cashback. So you have until the next statement date when your card will be upgraded to spend the points, once you have the vouchers you can spend them up until the expiry date on the voucher
