I am watching the live debate.
It is fascinating, not just from the cuts perspective but the constitutional discussion around whether this is a money/Budget issue.
I am impressed so far with the speeches given by most of the members so far

How can it not be a money/budget issue? It was announced in a Budget and it's directly about money!Icequeen99 wrote: »I am watching the live debate.

The debate was whether it classed as a 'financial' issue, on which the Lords traditionally does not contradict the elected house; or a 'welfare' issue. Both are covered in the Budget. But that's moot now, as the fatal motion was defeated. How can it not be a money/budget issue? It was announced in a Budget and it's directly about money!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

They have vested interest.
Hundreds of thousands of angry workers storming bosses offices demanding a pay rise they have no had for 15 years is not in the interests of millionaire slave bosses.
They are voting to shovel the burden back on the tax payer and off their own backs.I do Contracts, all day every day.0
