We are buying a property in our street - we currently rent our house but will be buying one up the road.
We have our mortgage appointment this Saturday.
How quick can the process be between mortgage appointment and offer? The property is chain free.

Depending on the lender and your circumstances, anything from a couple of days to several weeks.
If you want a Decision In Principle so you know how much you can borrow, this can be done in a matter of minutes. This isn't the full mortgage offer though.0 -
We have the DIP sorted about six weeks ago and that's valid for 90 days. Saturday is the main 3 hour appointment! I think most of it depends how quick the surveyor is sent out and that they come back and say its worth what we have offered. I hope the underwriting should go on in the background. Our solicitor is very good and everything should be finished by the time the survey is done so it all ties in nicely.0
