Is it a bit early to apply?

in Credit cards
Hi all.
Just completed on our house (Friday just gone) and I'm looking at transferring my santander credit card to a 0% one as the interest is costing me a fortune.
Currently have 2k on it and normally pay around 250pm off it so just wondering a) is it a bit early after starting a house purchase and b) whats the best card.?
Been looking at the post office one as it's a 0.4 transfer fee and I should be able to pay it off in time.
My worry is that with it being 2k they might give me a lower limit.
Seen one from halifax with £35 cashback but tge rate is 1.39 and it's generally a longer term which I don't think I need. It does say that the minimum amount needs to be 1500 which means there's a good chance il be able to transfer the whole balance.
Problem is our mortgage is with halifax so worried they might think ooh he's got a mortgage now he wants to spend spend spend lol.
Just seen they have 0% fee for 20 months but some only get 13 months. Not necessarily a problem if I do as can always transfer it before that period runs out if need be.
Any advice would be great.
Cheers

If you want to apply, do this before moving.
With a short time at new address your chances of acceptance with get only slimmer.0 -
Bit hard now we've moved already. Maybe give it a few months and just try and pay as much off then. Tried about a year ago to change but got turned down for some reason.0
